Stanly County NextGen Youth Participant Completes Work Experience Training

Stanly County NextGen participant Treasure Drake enrolled in Centralina WDB NextGen services shortly after graduating from
high school. Treasure successfully completed a non-profit work experience with Stanly Community Christian Ministry and NextGen staff worked with Treasure to obtain full-time employment with the assistance of her supervisor, Jeremiah Blitch at Stanly Community Christian Ministry.
Treasure is also currently enrolled in Stanly Community College and has received and accepted a seasonal job offer from Lowe's Home Improvement.
“Defining success on her own terms, Treasure is a great example of the passion and energy young adults can achieve on the NEXTGEN program,” said Gus Vanegas, Center Leader at NCWorks Career Center-Stanly.
