Background

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each Workforce Development Board (WDB) to develop and maintain, in partnership with the local chief elected official, a comprehensive four-year plan.

The WIOA Program Year (PY) 2023 Plan provides current information and is effective July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024. The plan also includes all current local policies. 

The local / regional plan supports the alignment strategy described in the PYS 2020 - 2023 Updated WIOA Unified State Plan in accordance with WIOA Section 102(b)(1)(E), and will be maintained to otherwise be consistent with any modifications made to the NC Unified State Plan.
