Congressman Richard Hudson Receives Award

On Tuesday August 16,2016,the Centralina Workforce Development Board honored US Congressman Richard Hudson who represents the North Carolina’s 8th District at a Centralina WDB Board meeting." Congressman Hudson received a special award presented by David Hollars,Centralina WDB’s Executive Director on behalf of the National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) for his work in the development and implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)."
"I was humbled to receive an award from the Board for my work on the job training program reforms over the last few years in Congress," said Congressman Hudson. "This is something I’m incredibly passionate about," he added."
Before Congressman Hudson received the award,he offered comments on what is currently happening with Congress and other issues related to the economy and workforce development in the region."
On behalf of the NAWB,the Centralina WDB would like to congratulate and thank Congress Hudson for his wonderful contribution to the Centralina region.
