The success didn"t stop there. Typically, each Board meeting begins with only one regional success story (an Adult,Dislocated Worker,Employer,or Young Adult success). "Due to assistance received from Centralina NEXGEN Services,he has been hired at"Hope Medical Associates"assisting in their new patient records data system. "Moua stated that he intends to continue his education in the medical field and eventually specialize in Physical Therapy. "Price also utilized the WIOA NEXGEN services and has gone from being homeless to being able to provide a stable home for herself. "Price now manages two jobs which provides her the means to get out of poverty and into meaningful and a sustainable career. "Both NEXGEN customers thanked the Board and the staff at the Resource Development Center in Stanly County for guiding and providing resources during their journeys. "

Centralina WDB Board member"Suzanne Hearn, presented a proposal for a pilot project linking Title II WIOA Adult Education funding with serving the needs of local employers. "Hearn stated that there are 18 literacy councils and 58 community colleges serving 71,000 participants that are reading below a sixth-grade level.
