Cabarrus County Workforce Solutions Summit was a Huge Success!

"Employers"have been struggling finding qualified candidates for job openings,as labor market tightens and employers have been needing people with specific skills. "As a result,the Cabarrus Economic Development,Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce,and a host of other agencies hosted a"Workforce Solutions Summit on Thursday,July 13th"at the"Kannapolis City Hall. "
The Workforce Solutions Summit shared information about several initiatives and resources regarding the "war on talent". "This created an opportunity for employers and partners to see the value in strengthening the employer base and the Cabarrus community. "
David Hollars,Executive Director of the Centralina Workforce Development Board talked about the Centralina NCWorks Career Center initiative and the services provided at the NCWorks Career Center-Cabarrus. "Centralina WDB Board member Tracie Brunt-Hampton and Centralina Workforce Development"Consortium
member,Liz Poole"discussed the Work Ready Community initiative and what it takes to become a Certified Work-Ready Community. "The presentation was prepared by Centralina WDB Communications Specialist,Asia Wilson."
