The NCWorks Career Center-Iredell Statesville team, led by Center Leader Annisa Morton, presented at the Iredell Human Resources Association on May 17, 2023 at Mitchell Community College Executive Training Center in Statesville on the services that NCWorks can provide to employers in Iredell County. Annisa Morton, Barbara Rooney, NCWorks Business Services Representative and James Barnes, NCWorks Veterans Representative gave a detailed presentation to 45 human resource professionals. The team covered such topics as NCWorks Online and the operation of the NCWorks Career Centers, account creation, employer/business services, reentry initiative and incentives, training opportunities, priority of service for veterans and the NC Centralina APP. The group was very engaged and indicated that some had used the services for recruitment events and On-The-Job training services. Ms. Morton stated that those who were not familiar with NCWorks Career Center Services were provided with information on how NCWorks can be a benefit to their business.

Outreach presentations such as this are one of many ways that the NCWorks Career Center educates and assists the community. Other activities include partnerships with the local school systems and community colleges to link job seekers with employers and the use of the NC Centralina APP to connect the community with the services in the Centralina WDB region.

The Centralina Workforce Development Board is proud of the efforts of the NCWorks Career Center-Iredell and its team members under the leadership of Center Leader Annisa Morton. This exemplifies the goal of the Centralina Workforce Development Board to connect talent to jobs through increased partnerships with community organizations.
