Rod Kerr,Jobs for Life,presented sessions titled "What You Bring to ANY Job (and you already have it!) The message regarding identifying your goals and preparing action steps was excellent and inspiring! Discussions of how a job seeker can stand out among hundreds of people at a job fair were right on target!"""""""""""""""""""""""""

Keri Allman (Rowan-Cabarrus Community College) and Stephanie Robinson (NCWorks) shared information through "Job Fair Success" to help participants know what to expect and how to prepare to get the most out of a job fair.


John Curtis (NCWorks) hosted "Resumes" which gave participants information regarding how to write an effective resume,as well as the opportunity to compose and save their resume." The City of Salisbury provided flash drives so the participants could save their work.


Also assisting in the "Resumes" workshop were Gus Venegas (NCWorks),Marie Giammarinaro (NCWorks),Tammara Walker (Rowan-Cabarrus Community College),Brianna Price and Souwan Kiengkham (City of Salisbury),Alvena Heggins (Human Praxis Institute),and Kendra Sharp (Livingstone College)."""

Michael Spivey,an intern at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College who is completing his Master’s Degree,served as our Career Counselor for one-to-one meetings with customers at the site.

Forty-one (41!) individuals participated in the offered events,with most attending more than one session." All participants who completed at least one of the sessions received a certificate for early entry into the Job Fair on Tuesday,April 26,2016.
